Welcome to Our Restaurant
This restaurant, with its long history, lies on Královská Cesta (the Royal Way) in close vicinity to Charles Bridge. Delicious French and Czech culinary specialities have been prepared and served in this medieval building, rebuilt at the end of the 19th century, since 1903. Thanks to its picturesque setting, underscored by period textile wallpaper, historic clocks and, above all, a collection of lithographic prints, paintings and reproductions of military helmets dating from the Napoleonic, Swedish and Austrian campaigns, you will feel as if you are visiting old friends. The restaurant’s specific atmosphere and spirit, which envelop you as soon as you arrive, are accented by the staff, dressed in uniforms imitating the military style of the period.
You can enjoy a meal on the ground floor of the restaurant or in a lounge on the first floor from where you can see into the kitchen through an arched glass window and watch our master chefs prepare your specialities.
The restaurant also offers a courtyard in the spring and summer months, but the real highlight is a table for two on an outdoor balcony with a view of Charles Bridge, illuminated by a historic four-branched lamp in the centre of a quiet square. If you should decide to ask your partner to marry you, we believe this is the most romantic place possible to propose.
